Coaches Code of Conduct

 

As a coach of the Diamond Dawgs Girls Flag Football Team, I am committed to fostering a positive, respectful, and safe environment for all players, families, officials, and staff. I understand my significant role in promoting sportsmanship, personal growth, and love for the game.

Coach Responsibilities:

​

  • Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, respect, and sportsmanship at all times.

  • Encourage fair play, effort, and teamwork over winning.

  • Communicate clearly, respectfully, and constructively with players, parents, officials, and staff.

  • Ensure practices and games are conducted safely, following all rules and safety guidelines.

  • Treat referees and officials with respect, accepting their decisions professionally.

  • Promote a positive environment that supports the development of good character and life skills.

  • Address conflicts or misconduct calmly, promptly, and appropriately.

  • Avoid negative language, aggressive behavior, or blame toward players, officials, or other coaches.

  • Refrain from gossip, defamation, or inappropriate social media posts about players, other teams, or the organization.

  • Support the growth of all athletes, regardless of skill level, and foster a love of the game.

 

Consequences:


Failure to adhere to this Coach Code of Conduct may result in warnings, suspension, or removal from coaching duties. The organization reserves the right to uphold a respectful and positive environment for everyone involved.
